Fave Affordable Palettes of 2015!

With the year coming to an end I thought I would do a couple blog posts of some of my fave makeup items! I've compiled three of my fave affordable eye shadow palettes and three high end eye shadow palettes.

The first palette I want to talk about is the BH Cosmetics 28 Color Neutral Eyeshadow Palette. If you needed just ONE eyeshadow palette from BH Cosmetics, this is the one you need in my opinion. This is a great palette to get if you're barely starting out with makeup and building your makeup collection. Most of the colors are shimmery but the matte ones are great colors and some of my faves from the palette. Super affordable and great quality! Below are swatches of 6 of my fave shades from the palette.

The second palette I'd like to talk about is another BH Cosmetics palette. It's the 26 Color Eyeshadow and Blush Palette. I personally have a love/hate relationship with this palette because some of the shades aren't pigmented. With some of them you really have to build them up but once you do, they are so beautiful. I bought this palette because I thought it would be the closest I'd get to the Morphe 35O palette. It has some similar shades to it so I decided to get it. It's really affordable so if you'd like to try it out, I suggest you do! Below are swatches of 6 of my fave shades from the palette.

The last palette I'm going to talk about is my fave palette out of the rest. It's the Morphe 35O palette which was HUGE this year! It's constantly sold out because it is in such high demand. It's an amazing palette! I'm so in love with it, I use it almost each time I do my makeup. It's definitely a must have palette. If you have the chance to get it once it comes back in stock, please, do not pass it up! The shades are so beautiful in this, especially the orange shades and the glittery ones. I highly recommend this palette!

Favorite Red Lipsticks!

I've been meaning to do this post for a while because who doesn't love a good red lipstick?! I managed to compile 12 of my favorite red lipsticks (including a gloss.) I hope you guys enjoy this post and continue reading!

Let's start with the first row.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 250-Standout: I have a couple of these matte balms and this is definitely one of my favorites! It's such a beautiful matte red. It doesn't feel dry at all and doesn't make my lips crack. Great drugstore matte red lipstick. This is currently on sale at Ulta!
ELF Lipstick in #7712-Fearless: Another great drugstore red lipstick! Unfortunately mine broke out of the tube really fast but I just stuck it back in. It has a shine to it but nothing crazy to wear it looks glossy or oily. For only a dollar, I'd recommend this.
Revlon in 725-Love That Red: A classic red lipstick. I love Revlon lipsticks and I own quite a few from this line. This is my favorite lipstick formula from the drugstore. These are currently on sale at Ulta, so check them out!
Rimmel London Kate Collection in 111-Kiss of Life: My second favorite drugstore lipsticks! I love these Kate collection lipsticks, they are life. I own a couple colors and love them all. This is one of my favorite reds ever. It's apart of the matte collection but not drying at all.
Revlon Lipstick in 525-Wine With Everything: This is a darker red. It has a mauve-berry tone to it.  Like I said, my favorite drugstore lipstick formula!
Rimmel London Kate Collection in 01: Another Kate collection lipstick. This is from the regular line, not the matte line.
Moving onto the bottom row and last 6 lipsticks!
MAC Riri Woo: This is basically Ruby Woo but for the Rihanna MAC Collection. Not even gonna lie, the packaging is what made me buy this. It was sold out when I wanted it so I bought it on eBay for about $36, crazy I know. This is the perfect matte red lipstick! Like I said, it's basically Ruby Woo so if you want this you'd have to get that.
Ulta Lipstick in 203: When Ulta was having a sale I bought a bunch of these lipsticks to try them out. By the way, they're currently on sale for Buy 2, Get 2 Free! I do like some of them and this is one of them. This is a deeper red shade and it's a cream. It glides onto the lips so smoothly!
ELF Matte Lip Color in Rich Red: I'm not the biggest fan of lip pencils but when I saw this on the ELF website I had to have it! It's such a beautiful, pigmented, matte red. It's only $3, so it's definitely worth it.
Loreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lip Color in 304-Ruby Opera: This isn't the most comfortable lip product in my opinion, but I love the color. It's kind of a lip stain but also kind of a lip oil if that makes sense. I'm not a huge fan of the perfume smell but like I said, I love the color!
NYX Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie: I am not a gloss girl, at all. But I wanted to try out a red glossy lip. I like to pair this over a matte red lipstick. I actually really love this over a matte red lipstick. It isn't sticky at all and it's so vibrant.
Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Big Bang: When these first came out, I was so interested in trying them out. Now, these are some of my favorite lip products. I really like both this formula and the velvet matte ones. This is such a beautiful bright red! And it smells like watermelon and chamoy candy ugh so good.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks! Review/Swatches

I've had a couple of the Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks for a while now, probably since they first launched. I can't believe I never did a review on them! I thought now would be the perfect time since Christmas is coming up. If you've wanted to try these out but weren't sure, then keep on reading.

The five colors I have are Succulent, Tulle, Bumble, Avenue, and Trap.
Let me start off by saying my two faves are Tulle and Avenue! They are so beautiful and if you're thinking of purchasing any of them, definitely get these two. Tulle is a beautiful dark mauve color. If you like natural colors but still want some darkness, this color is going to be perfect for you! I cannot stand wearing nudes so for me this is the perfect everyday color. Avenue on the other hand is this gorgeous dark red. I live for Avenue. I feel so sexy when I wear this color. I love wearing it with both natural and dramatic eye looks.
Let's talk about the other three colors I have. Succulent is a bright orange shade which I honestly haven't worn more than twice. The reason is because since fall and winter is the time where it's highly appropriate to wear dark lips. I love my orange lips in the spring and summer so trust me, this is probably all I'm going to be wearing!
Bumble is kind of like Tulle, but way lighter. I'm not even going to lie, I never wear this color. I've worn it maybe once or twice. Like I said, I just prefer the darker colors. It's so rare that you'll see me with a light color. Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful color, but not something I reach for often.
The last color I have is Trap. I was so excited to try this color. I've always wanted a gray lipstick but I've always been scared. I couldn't choose between this color and Beeper. I went with Trap cause it was a lighter gray and more natural. I'm in no way bashing here, but I absolutely hate this color, on me. I don't like the way it looks on me at all! It's too light and nude for my taste and I've tried it on twice and wiped it off both times. It looks great on my friend though, she loves it! I've seen so many people that can pull this color off but I personally cannot. So if you like nudes, this color is a must have for you.
Overall, these liquid lipsticks are some of the best I've tried. I like the way they dry on my lips. I haven't had any problems with these. I'm definitely going to be ordering more shades! Oh, I forgot to mention, they're only $6!

2015 Black Friday Haul!

Hello everyone! This year I did some online shopping for Black Friday. There was so many good deals but I had to stop myself from literally buying everything I saw. I said I wasn't going to buy anymore makeup for a month but then this happened.

Morphe Brushes was having a 20% off for Black Friday. I've always wanted to try their makeup brushes but I already have so many that I really shouldn't be buying anymore. But since I couldn't pass up on the deal I decided to order some eye brushes. I have way more face brushes than eye brushes and I'm in need of more brushes for blending. I got 5 brushes which turned out to be about $25. The shipping was super cheap as well! The 5 brushes I got were the B18, B83, E13, E22, and the E23.
I placed an order on Sephora as well. I sadly didn't get to purchase any of the Black Friday $10 deals. There were two that I really wanted but they were already sold out. I ended up just getting 2 things. I got the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid in Echo. I've been dying to get this shade. I've never owned a blue lipstick and when I saw this I fell in love. I've worn it twice already and I love it! The last thing I got is a mini YSL mascara. It was 100 points and I wanted to try a new mascara so I got it.
I've always wanted to try the LA Girl concealers. I was on ebay, as always, and came across a seller from California that was selling the concealers for an amazing deal. 3 colors for about $7! The 3 colors I got were Neutral, Creamy Beige, and the Orange Corrector. So far I'm really liking these!
The last thing I got was the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. This was on sale on the Kohl's website for $4! I've used this for foundation, concealer, and baking. Don't really like it for my foundation but I liked it for concealer. The flat slanted side is perfect for baking!

November 2015 Faves!

Another month has flown by! I swear November went by so fast. This is probably one of my favorite months because I got to try so many amazing makeup products! I got my hands on stuff I've been wanting to try for a while and I'm so excited to share them with you.

Morphe 35O Palette: I FINALLY got my hands on this! Every single time they re-stock it, it sells out in less than an hour. People go crazy for this palette because look at it, it's stunning. It's the perfect fall palette but for a warm shadow lover, it's a perfect palette in general. There are so many amazing shades in this that it's a must have. I've been creating lots of looks with this that I love. I definitely need to try out more Morphe palettes.
Forumla X The Cut - Fall 2015 Collection Nail Polish in "Acclaimed": I was in Sephora and went to the sale section and found about 6 bottles of this color. Nude nail polishes are my weakness and when I saw that it was only $4, I had to get it. It's become my go to color!
Kiss Lashes in "11": Every time I go to a drugstore I always head towards the lashes in hopes of finding my favorite Ardell pair. I saw these and thought they'd be good so I picked them up. I didn't know that they'd become my favorite lashes I've ever tried! They're so long and wispy and compliment my eyes so much. I always get compliments when I wear these as well. 5 pairs for under $9? You can't beat that.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in "Damned": These liquid lipsticks have quickly become my favorite liquid lipsticks I've ever tried. They have so many colors to choose from which is a plus. When I saw this shade in the store I HAD to have it. Now, I can't stop wearing it every time I do my makeup. It's the perfect vampy shade.
Anastasia Brow Wiz in "Caramel": Since recently going blonde and bleaching my brows, I needed a new brow pencil. This color goes perfectly with my hair, it's not too light and not too dark.
Nars Creamy Radiance Concealer in "Custard": I have always wanted to try it since every one recommends it. I was in the checkout line at Sephora and saw the travel size and picked it up so fast. I like the coverage and color a lot but, I've noticed my under eyes start creasing way faster when I wear this. The creasing is the only thing I don't like about this product.
Kiss Lash Glue: I've been wanting a lash glue that comes with an applicator since it seemed easier. When I picked up the Kiss lashes I mentioned earlier, I saw this and picked it up as well. This is my favorite lash glue I've ever tried. It gets tacky so quick and really keeps my lashes on all day!
Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer: Again, another product I've been wanting to try since it came out. But the price is no joke. Since I've never tried any of these primers I didn't want to spend $36. I saw the travel size and thought it was a good time to try it out. I've fallen in love with this primer! It works great at diminishing my pores and it makes my skin so soft. My foundation goes on so much easier when I have this on.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Swatches

I recently ordered the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette from Sephora during their VIB Sale. I've been wanting this palette since it first came out. I always told myself I didn't need it but who was I kidding. The packaging alone made me fall in love. The fact that these shadows smell like chocolate is just heaven. I've used a couple of colors to create some looks and so far I'm loving this palette! I can't wait to use more of the colors. So far my favorite colors are Salted Caramel, Creme Brulee, and Haute Chocolate. I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing this in a monthly faves soon.

Swatches
From left to right: Gilded Ganache, White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge, Salted Caramel, Marzipan, Semi-Sweet, and Strawberry Bon Bon.
From left to right: Candied Violet, Amaretto, Hazelnut, Creme Brulee, Haute Chocolate, Cherry Cordial, and Champagne Truffle.

2015 Sephora VIB Sale Haul

This was my first ever VIB sale since I had just become a VIB about two weeks before the sale started! I was so excited because 20% off your whole Sephora purchase? Umm, yes please! I first went to Sephora and purchased some stuff in the store then on the last day of the sale I placed an order online. I'm so happy with everything I purchased! I've used everything already so I'll be giving mini reviews on each item.

Store purchases: Sephora Green Tea Sheet Mask. I used this a couple of days ago and it felt so amazing on my skin! Very refreshing and soothing. There was one thing I did not like about this sheet mask. After I removed it and massaged the leftover product onto my skin, it left my skin sticky. The stickiness unfortunately didn't go away.
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Caramel. This is my all time favorite brow pencil. Since I recently went blonde and bleached my brows as well, I needed something lighter so I went with Caramel and it fits my hair perfectly.
Glam Glow Tinglexfoliate Treatment. I've always wanted to try a Glam Glow mask but they're so expensive! On my way to checking out of course I stopped to look at the mini products that are there. I saw that they had smaller containers of the masks for $20 and decided to try it. I've used it about 5 times and my skin is loving it! Definitely worth the money.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Witches. I've been dying for a black lipstick but wasn't sure if I could pull it off. I had seen Witches in the store previously and debated over buying it but never did. When I saw that they still had it I had to throw it in my shopping bag. I've worn it once and am obsessed. It doesn't look crazy as I thought it would.
Anastasia Self Made Eyeshadow Palette. This palette was the whole reason I went into the store. I had seen online that my store finally had it so I rushed to Sephora the next day. It was the very last palette! I'm so glad I got there just in time to get my hands on the last palette they had. One of the workers told me it was the first and last shipment they were going to get of the palette which made me even happier. I've used this palette a couple of times and I'm in love with it. I did a blog post about it so make sure to go check that out! The shopping bad was free with any VIB sale purchase in stores.

Online order: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette. I have been eyeing this since the moment it came out. I always told myself I didn't need it but the past three months I've been dying to get my hands on it. When I decided to place an order online I knew I had to throw this into my cart. I've used it twice and I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorite palettes! Blog post coming soon.
Make Up For Ever Step 1 Smoothing Primer. Another item i've been eyeing since it first came out. I love primers that smooth the skin and help out with pores. When I heard this was better than another primer I was previously using I knew I had to try it. It is pricy so I opted for the smaller version first since it would be my first time trying it. So far I really like it. It really does smooth out my skin and my foundation goes on a lot better.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Damned. I saw this color in the store when I purchased Witches and wanted it so bad but figured I didn't need it. I literally couldn't stop thinking about it caved and purchased it. Let me tell you, I cannot stop wearing it! I always get so many compliments when I have this on. These liquid lipsticks are becoming my fave!

Anastasia Beverly Hills' Self Made Eyeshadow Palette

As soon as Norvina was posting this on snapchat I immediately knew I had to get my hands on it! I've always wanted an ABH eyeshadow palette but they always sell out so fast. I wasn't able to get the World Traveler palette so I knew I was going to have to be fast with this one. When I saw it on the Sephora website I decided to purchase it during the VIB sale. I went to my local Sephora and just my luck, it was the last palette! I grabbed it so fast and put it in my basket. I will be doing a post on my VIB sale haul but since I placed an order online after making a purchase in store, I'm waiting for my package.

These eyeshadows are so pigmented! Since I have never used any of their eyeshadows I didn't know what to expect. I loaded up my brush and when I went to pack it on my eye I realized I had gotten too much. I'm loving this palette! I knew when I got it there was 2 shades I probably would never use and that would be Deep Purple and Isla. I'm going to try my best to step out of my comfort zone and create a look with them. My favorite colors so far are Hot Chocolate, Pink Champagne and Self-Made.

Swatches:
First picture from top to bottom: Buttery, Blossom, Blush, Witchy, Self-Made, Metallic Plum, and Pink Champagne.
Second picture from top to bottom: Hot Chocolate, Spirit Rock, Isla, Sherbert, Hot & Cold, Treasure, and Deep Purple.

October Faves

Finally gotten around to posting this! Here are my favorites for October 2015.
Freeman Mint & Lemon Clay Mask: This mask is amazing! It makes my skin feel so soft and refreshed. I like to use it twice a week.
Glam Glow Mud to Foam Cleanser: I got this in my September Sephora Play box and i'm obsessed. It's one of the best cleansers I've ever used. The one thing I don't like about it is the smell. It smells like black licorice which I hate! Even though the full size is pricey, I'm considering purchasing it.
Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup: I remember buying this when it first came out and hating it! I recently bought it again and for some reason I'm loving it now. It is a little too pink toned for me but it sets on my skin beautifully and looks flawless.
Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer: I purchased this as soon as it came out because I was intrigued to try it. I was a little scared that it would be oily but it's not at all. It conceals and brightens my under eye area perfectly. I've been using it everytime I do my makeup and topping it off with a little bit of MAC's Light Boost.
Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lippie in "Avenue": I am obsessed with this lip color! I wear it about 90% of the time I do my makeup. It sets so good and looks amazing. It's a great dark red color, perfect for fall.
Essie Polish in "Spin the Bottle": This is such a beautiful color! I love nude nail polish colors so when I saw this I had to have it. It's an off white pinky color. I always go back to this color because I love it so much.
BH Cosmetics Blushed Neutrals Palette: I purchased this palette a couple of months back cause it looked like a great fall essential. At first I wasn't really loving this because a lot of the colors aren't as pigmented when used with a brush as compared to when you swatch them. I've resorted to applying some with my fingers and the payoff is amazing. The price for this palette is something you cannot beat! If you're starting off with makeup, BH Cosmetics is definitely a site to checkout.

September 2015 faves!

Hello everyone, I'm back to tell you about my favorite beauty products for the month of September! I have six products I would like to talk about today. The first is a pair of false eyelashes. Lately I have been obsessing over false eyelashes! I never really wore them before but now every time I wear makeup they're a must. The pair I've been loving are the Ardell 120 Demi lashes. I got them in a twin pack which is a better deal than getting them single. The next product is a Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow in the color 23 Bella Copper. This shadow is beautiful! I own a couple of these in other colors but this color is definitely my favorite and is perfect for the fall. I'm a huge fan of Essie polishes. I cannot go somewhere where they're sold and not pick up at least one. The color I've been loving this month is Lady Like. It's such a pretty neutral color and looks so nice and chic on the nails. Something I cannot leave the house without when I have makeup on is my winged liner. I've tried so many liquid eyeliners and there's only been a few I like. I have small lids and it's difficult to not get eyeliner on my crease with most liners. This eyeliner is amazing for doing winged liner and dries so fast. It's the Jordana Cat Eye Liner liquid eyeliner and it's super affordable! Like almost every other person who wears makeup, I live for a good liquid lipstick. With every company coming out with them, I think Colourpop nailed it. Their liquid lipsticks are super affordable and they have so many colors to choose from. My absolute favorite is the color Tulle. It's the ultimate fall color in my opinion. It's not too dark and it suits everyone. The last product I'm going to talk about is something recommended by youtuber PatrickStarrr. It's the Coty Airspun powder. This powder is perfect for setting your foundation or for "baking" your concealer! It's very affordable and we're all about affordable! That concludes my montly favorites for the month of September, see you in October!

Colourpop Haul/Swatches! ♡

I placed my second order with Colourpop Cosmetics and I thought I'd do a blog post on the items I purchased. I think Colourpop is an amazing company with great products and great prices. How could you turn down $5 shadows and lip products that are better than most high end products?

I purchased 4 Super Shock Shadows and 4 Lippie Stix. Again, both $5! It took about 5 days for the items to arrive to my house. You get free shipping when you spend $30 or more by the way.
The 4 Super Shock Shadows I purchased are Animal (Satin finish), Shark Attack (Pearlized finish), Sunnies (Satin finish), and Flipper (Metallic finish).

The 4 Lippie Stix that I purchased are Luau (Hyper Glossy finish), Chi Chi (Matte finish), Yasmin (Matte finish), and Toucan (Matte finish).

Left is with flash and the right is without.

May 2015 Faves! ♡

My first blog post of the year and it's at the end of May, whoops. I'm going to share my May Faves with you guys today, I hope you enjoy!

Sephora Acne-fighting Mattifying Moisturizer: I saw this in the clearance section at Sephora and because it said "mattifying" I decided to give it a try. Plus, it was only $10. I didn't expect much but I fell in love with it! I wouldn't really say it's acne-fighting but it does keep me matte when I apply it. If you see this at your local Sephora's clearance section, definitely pick it up!
MAC Paint Pot in Painterly: I had never tried this and it's practically a holy grail item among-st the beauty community. I own Rhubarb and it's good but not for everyday. This is the perfect skin colored base to apply before eyeshadow.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer: I got this in a little set in the Sephora mini/travel section before the register which by the way gets me everytime. It came with a deluxe size of the Better Than Sex mascara which is the reason I got the kit. But I'm in love with this bronzer! It's a great color for my skin tone, it's matte and it smells like chocolate.
Nars Eyeshadow in Persia: I saw Desi Perkins from Youtube use this in one of her makeup tutorials and I instantly fell in love and had to have it! I am on this orange/coral kick and I had to have this. I ordered it on the Sephora website and when it arrived I could not stop using it. It's such a beautiful color and a must have in your collection.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Palette in California Roll; Another product I saw used by a youtuber and had to have. Like I said I've been on a orange/coral kick and when I saw KathleenLights use this I had to have it mainly just for the beautiful peachy color. I use this almost all the time (except for the blue and green shades). It's a must have especially for the price. Shout out to my friend Jocey for buying this for me!♡
Prestige Line & Style Ink Pen in Black Shine: I picked this up at ulta and I didn't think it'd be anything special but I love it! It's so easy to use and it's so pigmented. I always find myself going back to use it even after I've used another eyeliner.
Maybelline Line Stiletto in Blackest Black: My holy grail drug store liquid eyeliner. It's so hard to find these days and I've heard it's been discontinued which is crazy since it's so good! If you find this you NEED to pick it up!!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: I've heard good and bad things about this so I was dying to try it. It was sold out for a good amount of time at my local Sephora so I got the deluxe sample size in a kit. I'm obsessed! This mascara is so good. I recently found Ulta stocked the full size so of course I had to get it. It makes my lashes so long and full which is hard to find from a mascara for me.
Rimmel London Show Off Matte Lip Velvets in Burning Lava and Orange-ology: I own a couple of the original Show Off Lip Lacquers so when they came out with matte ones I was so excited. I own three shades but these two are my favorites. I always get compliments when I wear these, especially with the orange one. If you're going to purchase these I recommend doing so at Ulta since they almost always have them for buy one get one 50% off.
